About DCA

Hello! I welcome you in the love of Jesus.

We strive to make everything about our celebration a building experience for all that come to participate. We sing many songs that praise and express worship to God. He is wonderful and we acknowledge this fact through songs we sing together in communal celebration. You will also probably see us clap, raise our hands, dance, bow, kneel, shout, cry, laugh or any combination of these or other physical expressions of gratitude toward God. We respond with our body because God has made every aspect of our being, including our body, and we want to practice a full yielding and expression to Him in our corporate worship and praise expression. You might experience people praying around you silently or audibly or speaking out a word of encouragement for all to hear. This too is key to an active relationship with God. Prayer is like conversation. It is speaking and listening and can serve a vast array of communication needs.

You might notice that our congregation is young. It is! But if you are older in age we want you to know that you are welcome. Even though our church has been around since the early 50‘s and at this location since 1965, our church had a new start when my wife and I came in September of 1991. Our church has basically been built from the ground up when it comes to our people so we have not had enough time pass for most of us to get older. God willing, that too will happen. If you are older please know that you are needed and welcome in our church.

Our goal in preaching the Word of God is that God‘s truth will benefit your life and through the Spirit of God show you insight and life and freedom from sin. Preaching is a method God has chosen to use to bring His truth to life. His truth is recorded in the Bible, which we believe to have authority and insight into the human condition. We usually make time for people to respond to God at the end of a message. That is for your benefit. Responding to God after hearing truth is the essential element to bringing the will of God into our life.
